Sharps box -1

My first attempt at egg retrieval was one month after the ectopic rupture. During the process, I was too lost in grief over the loss of my pregnancy to realize how inspiring the trash was or make art. This sculpture was made a year later.

Materials: Clip board found in my car, origins unknown; scuba mask my grandmother used to shower, so that she would not mess up her false eyelashes; head from a mannequin used in a 2024 band book diorama display at MLK library that was then abandoned; Menopur injection instruction sheet; extra saline solution left over from Menopur kits.
